— HAVE A STRONG FOUNDATION: Have a vision of success, have effective/inspiring communication, have a clear strategy to achieve your vision, have an effective structure, provide training for your team and have effective evaluation of performance.

— BE GOOD TO YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYEES: Your people are your best recruiters — if your team members have a good experience, and you are an excellent employer — they’ll bring quality people to your business. If you create a positive work environment, many will natural tell friends and family what a great place you are to work.

— KNOW YOUR BRAND: Does your social media represent who you are as a company? Are you showing involvement in your community? Is your interview process set up so the applicant leaves feeling respected and excited about the opportunity to work there?

We can’t just expect the “open” job itself to be our only recruiting tool.

We have to show people why they should want to be one of us.
